The second commandment is for every newborn boy in the village to be given the saint’s name as a sign of respect. This tradition is only broken when there are no more boys bearing this sacred name, but the locals continue to remember him passionately.
This legend has become part of a tradition that continues today; the procession is still held, and the saint’s name is continuously given to new generations.
Olive Oil Mill
Not far from the church is another authentic attraction famous among visitors to Gornja Lastva: an olive mill.
